AutoCAD 19.1 Full Version X64 (Updated 2022)
AutoCAD, a commercial computer-aided design (CAD) software application, was first introduced in December 1982 as a desktop application running on microcomputers with internal graphics controllers.
AutoCAD was first developed by Bernard Vellutini, and was originally sold as CAD Manager. In 1987, the software was acquired by Autodesk, and in 1989, Autodesk launched AutoCAD as the product that it is today.
AutoCAD is both used for design and drafting, and for computer-aided manufacturing (CAM). AutoCAD is the third-most-widely used CAD program in the world, with more than 7 million licenses sold (as of 2012).
Key AutoCAD features include 2D and 3D drafting, data and drawing management, DWG, DXF, and PDF creation, and object and file conversion. It is also used for technical design work in aerospace, mechanical, building, construction, shipbuilding, and engineering industries.
Additionally, AutoCAD is the only commercial CAD application that has a desktop viewer application for users with limited or no computer experience, as well as a stand-alone student version. AutoCAD is available as a software subscription, perpetual license (on a perpetual use or perpetual term basis), and perpetual student license.
The first public release of AutoCAD was Autocad Software Manager in 1987. It was developed by Bernard Vellutini, who developed the entire CAD Manager product line in-house. CAD Manager was a set of software applications that provided CAD capabilities for both the desktop and the mainframe in addition to text editing and formatting. This was developed for companies that had a mainframe or minicomputer and wanted to add the ability to view a design on a desktop computer.
The original version of Autocad was released in December 1982 as CAD Manager.
In 1989, Vellutini formed Autodesk, and sold Autocad Software Manager to the company. Autodesk then launched AutoCAD as its first product, and incorporated CAD Manager into Autodesk’s product offering.
In 1991, Autodesk acquired IOWA State Systems (ISS), which developed ISS/D, an interactive display system that supported CAD software on a personal computer. This product was developed for the Ames Laboratory and later sold to Autodesk.
In 1993, Autodesk released AutoC

Through the SDK (Software Development Kit) tools, developers can write programs to automate, customize or control AutoCAD.
AutoCAD was initially developed by Autodesk’s “Originators”, (the codename for the team that developed AutoCAD’s first version). The first version of AutoCAD was version 1.0, released on February 26, 1982. Subsequent versions of AutoCAD have had their names reflect the year of release. After April 1984, the name AutoCAD was the official brand name for the software.
Over the years, Autodesk released minor updates and bug-fixes on a regular basis. For example, AutoCAD 2000 was released on June 24, 1998 and then AutoCAD 2003 was released on September 23, 2001, which fixed many of the bugs in the previous release. AutoCAD 2006 was released on September 14, 2004, which included new features like:
Shape Library: Displaying objects from the DXF Drawings in a fixed reference system.
Shape Locking: Storing and locking objects to avoid shape overlaps.
Dimensions: Calculating the area of a line or rectangle.
Other major releases include AutoCAD 2008 (January 31, 2007), AutoCAD 2009 (November 20, 2008), AutoCAD 2010 (March 4, 2009), AutoCAD 2011 (May 8, 2010), AutoCAD 2012 (November 19, 2011), AutoCAD 2013 (May 31, 2012), AutoCAD 2014 (November 27, 2013), AutoCAD 2016 (May 28, 2015), AutoCAD 2017 (November 27, 2016), AutoCAD 2018 (May 25, 2017), AutoCAD 2019 (November 28, 2018), and AutoCAD 2020 (May 25, 2019).
On February 27, 2020, Autodesk released the first major update to AutoCAD in over a decade. The update, version 2020, enables layers and changes to the way layers work in the 3D Modeling tools.

What’s New in the AutoCAD?
Prove your points quickly and easily with help from the mechanical pencil.
Work with a wide variety of input tools, including a mechanical pencil, keyboard, mouse, pen, and even a scanner (experimental support) for certain tools.
Annotate drawings and drawings in PDFs.
Bring any PDF into your drawing. Mark up with the tools you’re used to, or apply annotator preferences to apply the pen and ink tools to any annotation.
Stay in sync with approved work as you review and approve collaborative annotations from other users.
With Document Encryption, users can encrypt individual drawing files, drawing content in PDFs, or drawings in a document file, and easily share the encrypted drawings with only the users who have the decryption key.
Revisit old and new file formats:
With AutoCAD cloud-based collaborative editing, users can easily access work from many years past.
Shared drawing revisions can be imported directly into a new project, creating a full history of work for you to choose from.
Collaborative drawing output:
Streamline output with standard formats, like EPS and PDF.
Collaborative whiteboarding and output in a dedicated output stream.
