Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

Like other CAD programs, AutoCAD enables users to draw two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) geometric structures. These CAD programs, however, make different types of geometric constructs. For example, In DraftSight you will create a floor plan. CAD programs can then be used to create architectural blueprints, engineering blueprints, structural blueprints, mechanical blueprints, and so on.

Whether you want to make a blueprint or a building model, you’ll start with a reference model. Like a building model, a blueprint is a scaled-down model that represents the shape of a three-dimensional structure. Some CAD programs use 2D templates or paper templates as a starting point for a 3D model.

In a blueprint, you’ll often need a view of the model (at an angle). For example, you’ll want to see the building’s exterior. To achieve this goal, you can see a view of the building’s exterior at an angle using an azimuth view. (You may also be able to rotate the building model as well as the viewing perspective.)

You’ll also need to make accurate measurements of the structure’s dimensions. You can create a blueprint with a drafting compass. In AutoCAD, you can select any object and perform many tasks with a compass. You can select an object and add the dimension you need to measure. With a compass, you can start measuring in any direction. The compass is usually represented by an indicator that indicates the direction you’re measuring in. For example, you’ll see an arrow that indicates your direction of measurement.

AutoCAD’s printing features let you print any model in the form of a blueprint or a large, scaled-down model that you can place on a building’s facade.

AutoCAD includes tools that enable you to create drawings from 3D models. These tools enable you to create 2D and 3D views of an architectural model. You can also create tools that let you create a layout of a building or project. In AutoCAD, this process is known as conceptual design.

You can add text, numbers, and images to a drawing. Some CAD programs offer more features than others, such as the ability to add a customized corporate logo to a drawing. For example, you’ll be able to choose a font size, a font style, and a font color.

OpenCv Keypoint detector return single points or line?

I am working on application for object recognition which uses opencv keypoint detector. I found that OpenCV can detect features of a single point and line as well. So I have two options,

Generate large arrays of points/lines and filter by the length/width. I have some difficulties to do this.
Call keypoint detector multiple times with different scale factor. So if I run detector with scale factor 1 it will return single points/line and if I run with scale 1/2, it will return lines/points with twice length/width.

Which option is better in terms of performance? Or maybe there is some other way?

That is the best approach. The OpenCV library was designed for fast and generic solutions.
On the other hand, if you want to save time and use a smaller-scale detector, you will have to choose a scale factor that gives a sufficiently low number of keypoints.

The first approach is the fastest one and its key point is that it is a non-linear filter. When you want to find every corner of the image, the non-linear filter is a good approach.
In the second approach, you’ll have to adapt the code to detect at the optimal scale, with a non-linear filter.
It’s not possible to have a linear filter when you are only looking for corners.

Effects of mechanical ventilation on lung mechanics in obese patients.
To evaluate the effect of obesity on lung mechanics, we studied mechanically ventilated obese patients and normal-weight controls. Patients were classified into four groups according to their body mass index: Group I: normal weight (18.5-22.9 kg/m2), Group II: mild obesity (23.0-27.4 kg/m2), Group III: moderate obesity (27.5-33.9 kg/m2), and Group IV: severe obesity (34.0-45.0 kg/m2). A lung function instrument (Body box) was used to measure the tidal volume, respiratory
