Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

It was first released in 2010 and runs on Microsoft Windows and Linux.

QCAD is a free, open source, CAD application for Linux, OS X, Solaris and Windows. Developed by Formlabs Inc. as a Linux distribution, the application was first released in November 2007.

TinkerCAD is a proprietary, feature-rich, 2D and 3D vector graphics drawing and modeling CAD application for Windows, Linux and OS X. Developed and marketed by DigitalEPS, the software was first released in August 2000 as a self-contained file, which can be installed and run on a Windows platform.

Nesto is an open source browser-based, web-based architectural and engineering design tool and modelling environment developed by the German architect Carl Ernst. Released in 2010, it is a web browser plugin that works with a personal computer or any modern mobile device running a web browser. It is available as a free, open source, web-based tool and as a proprietary version designed for use in a software development environment.

2D modelling

Most CAD software requires the user to be able to manipulate two-dimensional (2D) images to draw or modify a project in three-dimensional (3D) space. Thus, the ability to draw 2D shapes is required for 2D CAD users. The following applications include 2D drawing tools:

CorelDRAW: A proprietary, full-featured vector graphics graphics CAD application developed by Corel Corporation for Windows and OS X platforms. Released in 1995, it includes a number of 2D drawing tools. It is licensed per user for non-commercial use. It is available for purchase.

SketchUp: A proprietary, feature-rich 3D modeling and rendering desktop and web application. Originally developed by Google, Inc. as a Google Earth extension, it was released in September 2010.

Ginger: A proprietary, feature-rich 2D drawing application and the integrated view-based modeling environment for architectural design built by Gingko Systems Inc. It was originally released in 1998 as a desktop app running on Windows and macOS platforms.

Raso: A proprietary 2D drawing and tracing app developed by Alcatel A

Tears of a Miner

The one job I thought I had was digging coal. I was wrong.

Back in the ‘70’s, coal was a much sought after commodity. You needed it to heat your home, and it could be found in pretty much any other country. But it was pretty scarce in Canada. It didn’t mean much to me, as I wasn’t a big hockey fan, and wasn’t much of a car fan either. Until I learned the term “coal-fired power plant”.

That was it for me. I was going to build one myself. I just knew I had to have a pet-peeve for the coal industry. It must have been a pet-peeve for you too, but I think you’ll get over the sheer hatred for all things coal soon enough.

Back then, you could get a fairly decent tool for a couple of hundred dollars. A hammer and a few wrenches. I was on a budget, so I settled on a Z-bar screwdriver set. I got these at a yard sale for $1.50 each. They were an amazing value, as they included a maul, a claw, and a few wrenches that a normal set wouldn’t have included.

I started digging in the garage on my side project: a coal-powered generator. There are a few different types of power generation, and I chose to utilize a reciprocating engine. This one could burn nearly any type of fuel, so I started with coal. I ran out pretty quickly, so I purchased a smaller diesel engine to replace the one in my project. That was a really nice little rig, so I had no qualms about doing it again, and again, and again. One day I just walked out of work with some money in my pocket, as I had a backlog of assignments, and was toting my laptop bag of tools. I’d just started digging again, and now I was using my back

CSS rotate text and put it in a triangle

Is there any way to create a rotating text which when you hover over it would go to a different color?
Here is what I have:

.rotate {
-webkit-transform-origin:center center;
transform-origin:center center;

@-webkit-keyframes rotate {
from { -webkit-transform: rotate(0deg); }
to { -webkit-transform: rotate(360deg); }

@keyframes rotate {
from { transform: rotate(0deg); }
to { transform: rotate(360deg); }

The text simply rotates by 360 degrees. I want it to be in a triangle shape when the mouse is over. How can I achieve this?

Maybe this will help you:
