To log-in to the web configuration utility, you need to have two pieces of information. The first is a user name and the second is a password. For this information, you can find help for the SPA122 in the following.
From this web interface, you can download and install new software, remove software, reset the device or set up a “Multi-Purpose Device”. (For more information on what can be configured or removed, use the link below this section. ) http://www.zebra.com/support/knowledgebase/articles/2824623
To reset a device, you need a configuration. To set up a configuration, you need either a power supply, or you need access to the configuration information. For example, if you want to reset a printer, you need access to the configuration information that is stored in an EEPROM. For a printer, the configuration information is stored in a nonvolatile ROM. The configuration information gives the system information, such as the model of the device, the firmware version and the operating system of the printer.
This section covers the configuration information for the SPA122. You can use the configuration information to reset or configure the SPA122. You can reset using a configuration or manual reset. The configuration is stored in an EEPROM. The manual reset is stored in a nonvolatile RAM. If you are using a ZPL configuration, ZPL code has been provided.
You have a choice of using a configuration (discussed here) or using a manual reset (discussed later in this document). If you want to use a configuration, you need to use a ZPL configuration, and this configuration is stored in an EEPROM. When you use a configuration, it is not necessary to add a power supply. If you use a manual reset, you have to add a power supply to operate the printer. This section is only covering how to use a configuration and a manual reset.
