realbasic 2008 also offers new features for compilers, showing the structure of the code, code line by line and a small window with a code line selected. in addition, you can add comments, split code and merge code. you can also create and edit quicktime movies and also open and edit rtk files.

realbasic is a basic like programming language that will allow you to create powerful software for a variety of platforms. its not just for the macintosh, but there are lots of great features for the mac platform, as well. it isnt just for hobbyists and creatives, but they do like the professional market as well. if you are a hobbyist, have fun, but if you are a professional that has to deliver the best software, it doesnt get any better than realbasic.

the realbasic ide for windows is a powerful, easy-to-use, cross-platform development environment that is intuitive and supports all major computer platforms. realbasic provides a quick and intuitive way to create windows applications with no code or scripting required.

realbasic is also unique in that it does not include a built-in ide. in other words, realbasic is a compiler, not a complete ide. realbasic offers very basic tools for creating and testing code. they are the conditional compilation system, the code editor, a code completion system, a code inspector, and a debugger. the conditional compilation system allows developers to define or test code, but the system is not very easy to use. it is not very user-friendly. there are other systems that offer a better user interface, but realbasic is different. in addition, realbasic offers a basic code inspector. in the code editor, you can see the line number where the cursor is placed, and where the cursor is located in the code. there is also a line number in the code editor, but it only works if you have a line number in the code.

realbasic is one of the oldest open source basic compilers available. what is so great about this is that you can download a copy and start using it right away. this is one of the things i like the most about open source. unlike proprietary development tools, they’re available and free. all you need is a copy of the compiler and a copy of realbasic. the compiler comes with many examples including a number of game examples. the user’s guide, language reference, and additional features are very good and highly recommended.
the initial setup of the compiler is easy, but it takes a bit of time to get going. i cannot stress enough how important it is to complete the realbasic quickstart before you try to do any serious development. this is where you learn the names of all the most important files, commands, and keywords. you can click on the image below to download a copy of the quickstart as a pdf.
once you have completed the quickstart, you’re ready to start developing. this is by far the most feature rich basic compiler available, and you can start using it immediately. this tutorial will introduce you to the features and syntax that make realbasic so powerful. for more information, visit the developers site at
• macro language – have a look at the macro language. this is a language that you can use to create your own extensions to realbasic, or any basic language. you might want to consider making a macro language for a specific application. this can be a powerful feature. use it wisely.
