Field Day – June 29, 2013

The NC Sheep Producer’s Association will hold a Sheep Field Day on Saturday, June 29th at the Small Ruminant Education Unit at NCSU in Raleigh.  The event will begin with registration beginning at 9:00am and the program beginning at 9:30.  In addition to hearing about NC State’s work with sheep and goats, topics will include speakers on Forages for Sheep, Sericia Lespedeza for Parasite Control, Estrous Synchronization, Ultra Sound Demonstration, Parasite management, Basic of Lamb Meat and Marketing and Basics of Wool Handling.  The day will also include a lamb lunch and a short update on NC Sheep Producer Association activities.

Registration is due by Monday, June 24th and is $10 per person or $20 per family (pay when you arrive). Register below or, e-mail ncsheepproducer@gmail.com or call Alesia Moore at 919-554-1187.

Address for the event is 2200 Trenton Rd. in Raleigh, not far from the NC State Fairgrounds.
